Years ago, Roséwas considered very average in the wine world and not many people were drinking it. Last month when attending the Direct to Consumer Wine Marketing event in Concord, CA I learned that Roséis definitely one of the up and coming wines. In 2018, sales of Roségrew by 24% according to Wine Direct. That’s big news for this under-appreciated wine!
The reputation of Rosé is that this wine is fun and fruity – a perfect wine for those hot days of summer. What many of us are starting to discover is that Rosé is the perfect way to split the difference between white and red. This is a great wine to drink year-round. And the best part is that you can pair Rosé with just about anything. Try your next bottle with pizza, spicy foods, fish, pasta, a frittata, or fondue. You won’t be disappointed.
