Here we are in September – that time of year when the days start to get shorter, the evenings are getting cooler and at my house, we start thinking about comfort food and drinking more red wine.  Last night was the perfect combination of those two elements.  For dinner we had what I consider to be the ultimate in comfort food – Beef Stroganoff.  There are so many great recipes for this that can be made either on the stove or in the crockpot.  Our version was from All Recipes on the stove –  To pair with this dinner, I wanted something elegant and smooth in the glass.  Our selection – Lambert Bridge Merlot.  This was the perfect wine to pair with this dinner.  We discovered Lambert Bridge ( many years ago on the trip to the Sonoma Valley and still look forward to our shipments that come each year.  Cheers!
